We are restoring the Original Sacred Heart Church.
We are in the process of restoring the original 1847 Sacred Heart Church which we were able, by the mercy of God, to reacquire and bring back to Nacogdoches. It has most recently been in Center where it had been for several years serving as a Mission Church there. If you would like to help with this project of great historical value for the city of Nacogdoches, the Parish of Sacred Heart, and ultimately for the area of East Texas, please contact Deacon Gary Giese at the Sacred Heart Parish Office (936) 564-7807. Funds are needed may be made "in Memory of" or "in Honor of" a loved one. Please consider how you can help be a part of restoring this beautiful little piece of history!
Yay! The Church Website is being updated!
Okay, please have patience. I can't do it all at once! I am currently making our website more usable and correcting the outdated information. Please be patient with me while I get this all done. I hope to redo the entire site at some point, but right now correct information is more important than beauty! Don't you agree! Eventually, I hope to add so much more!
I am beginning to add new pages, like the Third Age group's page. (Thanks, Dorothy, for the pictures. I hope to have them online soon.) I would love to have you send me a picture or two of your group along with information about the group, your meeting schedule, officers, contact information, or anything else you think the parish needs to know.
